Freshping was discontinued in March 2026

The Freshping alternative that is still here

Freshworks retired Freshping and shipped no replacement, leaving 20,000+ businesses and around 55,000 URLs unmonitored. Monitorion picks up where it left off — 25 free monitors, 26 check types, and checks from five global regions.

No credit card. Free plan does not expire.

Email and password, or Google. No card at any point.

2

Bring your URLs

Import a CSV of the sites you were watching — available on every plan, including Free.

Let autopilot fill the gaps

Enter a domain and Monitorion finds what else is worth watching: SSL expiry, domain renewal, security headers, broken links.

What Freshping never had

  • Multi-region consensus. Five regions have to agree before you get paged, so a blip in one network does not wake you at 3 AM. Included on paid plans rather than billed per location.
  • 26 monitor types. Not just HTTP — SSL expiry, domain renewal, DNS, ports, SMTP, heartbeats, GraphQL, Lighthouse, screenshots, broken links and more.
  • Private network workers. An open-source agent that monitors things behind your firewall. No port forwarding, no VPN, no inbound access.
  • 11 alert channels. Slack, Discord, Telegram, Teams, Google Chat, PagerDuty, Jira, webhooks, SMS, phone call and email.

Questions

What happened to Freshping?

Freshworks discontinued Freshping in March 2026. The free uptime monitoring service was retired and no direct replacement was offered, leaving more than 20,000 businesses and roughly 55,000 monitored URLs without a tool.

Is Monitorion really free?

Yes. The free plan includes 25 monitors with 5-minute checks, 7 monitor types, email alerts, a public status page, audit logs and monitor imports. No credit card, no trial clock, no expiry.

Can I import my Freshping URLs?

Yes. Monitor import by CSV is available on every plan including Free. Export your URL list from wherever you kept it and paste or upload it — you do not need a paid plan to migrate.

What is multi-region consensus?

Monitorion checks from five global regions and requires several of them to agree a site is down before alerting you. That removes the false alarms a single-location checker produces during routine network blips. Most platforms bill per check run per location; we include it.

Will Monitorion shut down too?

Nobody can promise otherwise, so here is what we can say concretely: Monitorion is not a side feature of a larger suite, it is the whole product. Our private worker agent is open source, and monitor export is available on every plan, so your configuration is never locked in.
